This page describes how OpenIPApi handles data collected through our website and API.
Account data
When you create an OpenIPApi account, we store your email address, name (optional), hashed password, and account settings. We use this data to authenticate you and to operate the service.
API logs
API requests are logged for billing, abuse prevention and operational monitoring. Logs include the timestamp, endpoint, response time, and the IP address that was queried. Lookup logs older than 30 days are aggregated to per-day counters and individual records are deleted.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies, including a language preference cookie (app-lang) and an authentication session cookie for the console. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Third parties
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Transactional email is sent via our own SMTP infrastructure. We do not sell or share account data with advertisers or data brokers.
